Welcome to the Philadelphia Pen Show | Carnival of Pens website! Some paint is still wet and ground crews are still working on a few areas, but we hope you’ll enjoy having a look around.

If you haven’t seen the site’s home page yet, it’s a great place to start. Just click HERE.

Let me know if anything doesn’t seem to be working properly. Feel free to conduct a Typo Safari and to point me to any and all errors. You can reach me directly at: eric@philadelphiapenshow.com

Huge props to the main organizer of the PPS, Eric, for offering the “I can’t make it” ticket. I encourage other exhibitors who cannot make it to the show to participate in this reasonable option. My reasons: For one, your small $5.00 fee contributes to the kiddo programs. Two, showing your support for the community that we love. And lastly, the privilege of being listed on their sponsor page. I can attest that in less than 24 hours there has been significant increase in web traffic on my web site from the Philly region. And, it’s a really cool name and concept. So, this is awesome and thank you! Jeff Powers.

Hi, my name is Michael McGettigan… in real life I run a bike shop. In my other real life I enjoy and sometimes create/produce analog events. (www.publetters.com , the Type-IN, etc. ) Have really liked coming to the Pen Show the past few years…. Was feeling semi-bummed that there were no Friday hours for the Penn Show, but realize that space bookings can be complicated. Here’s the pitch: should there be a Friday Night Pen Pub? Nothing fancy, just meet at the Black Sheep Pub (247 S. 17th– a 6-min. walk from the Westin), have a beer(s), maybe show off a few pens and exchange cards, etc. Figure 8:30 to 10 p.m. (earlier? later?) at the Black Sheep , so that some of the exhibitors might be able to make it down after setting up their tables in the ballroom. OK, I’ll “sponsor” it: will buy a beer for the first five vendors to show up! • • Eric–if you think this is a good idea, let me know and we can push it as an informal, unauthorized, one-time spin-off to the show. Won’t plug it without your approval, and of course, I think it will come off well only if you (Eric, that is) help spread the word. Thoughts & suggestions welcome–either here, or direct to my email ( mcget@aol.com ) . Thanks and cheers, — Mike McGettigan / philadelphia PS: I have no commercial connection to the Black Sheep; it’s just close by, has a cozy, quieter downstairs that is usually available, as well as decent food and a better than decent beer selection
